Is the Onewheel XR Classic good for beginners?

Yes — it's one of the better starting points in the Onewheel lineup. The full-sized platform gives you more stability and leverage than the Pint S, which makes balance easier to learn. That said, all Onewheels have a real learning curve. We recommend starting slow and spending time in beginner shaping modes before pushing speed or terrain. Entry-level models are available for test rides at our NYC showroom so you can get a feel before committing.

What's the difference between the XR Classic and the GT?

The GT has more range, a heavier build, and is designed for serious off-road and trail riding. The XR Classic is lighter, lower, and uses the same core platform in a more versatile package. If you're primarily riding streets and light trails, the XR Classic is the better fit for most riders. If you're regularly hitting technical singletrack, look at the GT or GT S-Series.

What are Recurve Rails and should I get them?

Recurve Rails are an optional upgrade (+$300) with asymmetric geometry that gives you more leverage and better board feel on trails and off-road terrain. If you plan to ride mostly pavement, the standard straight rails are great. If you want more out of the board on dirt and variable terrain, Recurve is worth considering. Our team at Last Mile can walk you through the difference in person.
