Electronic Shifting, Explained

On a normal drivetrain, a cable pulls the derailleur and that cable stretches, kinks, and drifts out of adjustment — which is why most bikes need a tune-up a few months in. The Myon replaces the cable with a motor. You press a button, the derailleur moves the same amount every time, and it keeps doing that whether the bike is new or two years old. You can also micro-adjust it from the Segway app rather than bringing it in. For a bike doing the same commute daily, it's the difference between a drivetrain you maintain and one you ignore.

Estimated Range vs. Tested Range

Segway's estimated range for the 722Wh pack is up to 80 miles, measured under ideal conditions — lowest assist, flat ground, moderate rider weight, mild temperature. Tested range from independent riders lands closer to 30–35 miles ridden hard on high assist and 45–60 miles at moderate assist in mixed conditions. Both numbers are worth knowing: the estimate tells you the pack is genuinely large for this category, and the tested figure tells you what to plan a week of commuting around. We'd rather you hear the real number from us than discover it in month two.

Serviced Where You Bought It

We're an authorized Segway dealer with techs on site seven days a week and walk-ins welcome. Every bike is assembled, torqued, and safety-checked here before you take it, and we'll pair the Segway app, set up AirLock, and walk you through the display before you ride off — which takes about ten minutes in person and considerably longer from a manual. Brake service, tire swaps, drivetrain adjustment, and warranty coordination all happen at our Chelsea location.
