How the F4X Is Delivered

How the F4X Is Delivered

GhostCat delivers the F4X programmed to 20 mph and 750W, and sells it for riders 18 and older. That programming is what you get out of the crate, and it's how we hand the bike over. The hardware underneath — the 2,200W motor, the 55-amp controller, the 60V pack — is what gives the bike its torque and its climbing ability within those limits. Rules around motor output and where these bikes can be ridden vary widely by state and municipality, so check what applies where you ride before you buy. We're happy to talk it through in person.

Suspension That Earns Its Keep

Suspension That Earns Its Keep

KKE is a real suspension brand, not a house-label fork with a spring in it. The F4X runs 120mm of adjustable travel up front and an adjustable rear shock rated to 550 lb — both tunable to your weight and the terrain rather than fixed at the factory. On a soft-tail aluminum frame at 86 lbs, that combination is what keeps the rear wheel tracking the ground over roots and washboard instead of skipping across it. It's also the single most common thing riders mention after their first proper off-road session.

Serviced Where You Bought It

Serviced Where You Bought It

The F4X ships about 85% assembled, which sounds simple until you're setting brake rotors and torquing a rear axle on a bike this heavy. Pick up in-store and our techs handle assembly, torque, and a full safety check, then set suspension sag to your weight before you ride off — which is the difference between the suspension working and the suspension existing. Techs are on site seven days a week and walk-ins are welcome at our Chelsea location for brake bleeds, tire swaps, and warranty coordination.

Battery and Charging

Battery and Charging

The 60V 25Ah pack uses LG cells and carries UL2271 certification through SGS — worth knowing given how much attention battery safety gets in New York specifically. It sits in an enclosed locking case and charges either on the bike or off it, taking roughly five to seven hours from empty. Being able to pull the battery and bring it upstairs is the practical difference between charging in an apartment and needing a garage. The bike carries no IP rating, so treat it as dry-weather equipment and keep it out of standing water.

FAQ

How is the F4X delivered?

GhostCat delivers the F4X programmed to 20 mph and 750W, for riders 18 and older. Rules on motor output and where these bikes may be ridden vary by state and city, so check what applies where you ride. We're glad to walk through it in person.

What range should I expect?

Estimated range is 30–50 miles. GhostCat's own detail copy puts full-electric riding closer to 30–40 miles, which is the more realistic planning number if you're using throttle rather than pedaling. Rider weight, terrain, temperature, and assist level all move it.

Will the F4X fit me?

Seat height is 33 inches and maximum load is 275 lbs. At 86 lbs the F4X is a substantial machine — not something you'll carry upstairs. Come sit on one before deciding; the seat height in particular is worth feeling rather than reading.

How much assembly is required?

It ships roughly 85% assembled. If you pick up in-store our techs assemble, torque, and safety-check it, and set suspension sag to your weight before you leave — worth having done properly on a bike with adjustable suspension at both ends.

Do you service GhostCat bikes in-house?

Yes. Brake bleeds, suspension setup, tire swaps, diagnostics, and warranty coordination are handled at our Chelsea location, with techs on site seven days a week and walk-ins welcome.
