Charging on or off the bike: the charger plugs straight into the bike's charging port. To charge a battery you've removed, use the adapter cable that came with your bike, or pick up a replacement Battery Charger Adapter Cable if yours is lost.
Tip: some vehicles cut power to the accessory outlet when the ignition is off, and a long charge on a parked vehicle can draw down the car's own battery. Check how your vehicle's outlet behaves before leaving a charge running with the engine off.
