JackRabbit MG Cargo - The Cargo

The MG Cargo runs a 24" front wheel and a 20" rear — a mullet setup borrowed from mountain biking. The larger front wheel rolls over broken pavement and pothole edges more predictably, while the smaller rear keeps the load platform low and the center of gravity down. On a loaded cargo bike that combination is the difference between confident steering and the vague, top-heavy feel that makes a lot of cargo bikes unpleasant in traffic. It also handles well empty, which matters if this is your only bike.

Buyers focus on range and payload, then discover the bike doesn't fit anywhere. In a New York apartment or a shared building hallway, an 8-inch folded footprint is the feature that determines whether the bike gets used or resented. Flat Mode measures 64" long by 8" wide by 47.5" high — narrow enough to stand against a wall without blocking a corridor, and light enough at 55 lbs that one person can move it there.

The 10-plus attachment points take standard pannier bags and baskets, so you aren't locked into a proprietary accessory ecosystem — if you already own panniers, they'll likely mount. The bamboo-topped rack handles a full grocery run, a large duffel, or a child seat, and the pre-installed trailer hitch takes Burley trailers.
