Our journey began in 2016, in a humble garage in San Diego, when Tom Piszkin sought a solution to help his UCSD triathletes navigate campus efficiently, safely, and affordably. Thus, the first JackRabbit prototype was born, blending Tom's background in invention and his passion for motion.

After years of refinement and two successful Kickstarter campaigns, JackRabbit evolved into the iconic compact design you know and love today - featuring two 20-inch tires, foot pegs on an extended seat downtube, and the distinctive rectangular "billboard" frame. With the support of our loyal community, we officially launched our mass-market JackRabbit in January 2022, shipping across the U.S. lower 48 and garnering recognition as the "Best Micro eBike."
